Some people consider travel as a tiresome necessity, while others think it is an exciting adventure, but you can ensure it is a much more enjoyable experience by planning your trip adequately. Here are fourteen top tips to help your journey.
1. Be selective about what you pack in your suitcase, and make sure each item is appropriate.
2. Match your tops and skirts, or trousers. Make sure that your clothing is suitable for the local conditions.
3. Instead of folding the clothes, just tend to roll them up to prevent a lot of creasing.
4. Check and recheck your travel documents for each member of your group. If possible try to keep all the documents in one folder.
5. Make sure you have adequate travel insurance.
6. For European people, apply and carry a European Health Insurance Card if the journey is in the EU. If you do not know how to apply it just “Google” it
7. If you plan to use any of your credit, or debit cards abroad, find out any additional charges will be levied.
8. If you plan to use your cell phone abroad, contact your network service to find out any information of usage and charges will apply to calls made from, and received abroad.
9. Never agree to carry anything abroad or domestic flight, for somebody you do not know well.
10. Keep a tight hold on your valuables from pickpockets in stations, airport lounges, and any crowded spaces.
12. Be aware if anyone approaches you to offer exchange currency when you are abroad, it almost certainly does not give any profit
13. Consult your travel agency beforehand, to get some idea of who you should tip, how much, and when.
14. If you hire a car, just check before to avoid any additional costs. Make sure you have enough budgets, do not create a big hole in your spending money.
This list could be longer, but these are some of the more important things to consider before you go travelling.
